The Twinflex brand is used for two-shot and three-shot adhesive systems for graphic arts and bookbinding. The products used in these systems are water-based emulsion adhesives and hotmelts. These processes can add significant value to the perfect binding process.

The Twinflex R system uses a water-based primer followed by a hotmelt glue; the two migrate together during drying to form a stronger, more flexible bond than is possible with a single application. The three-shot Twinflex 2000 uses the same process as Twinflex R, but also uses a spray nozzle to apply PUR onto the inside of the cover. Twinflex can also be used as a one-shot hotmelt system on sewn books.

Benefits achieved through the use of Twinflex products include high page-pull strength, solvent resistance and spine flexibility.
